Databases

In addition to the databases listed on the Basic Reference page of this subject guide, several other databases can also help you with your research. 
  • Bartleby.com, for example, is an open access resource that provides links to Roget's Thesaurus, Bullfinch's Mythology, and the World Factbook.


Under the Arts and Humanities subject heading in the databases section of the library's website you will also find a number of databases that provide access to journals.

  • Arts & Humanities Search article index. 
    • this index will not provide access to the articles themselves but will give you the means to find the journals the articles appeared in.  This may be through the Emporia Library or through ILL (Inter Library Loan).

    • many are scanned copies of the journals that you can download as pdfs and print if you need to
